Montgomery College Professor of Math, Statistics, and Data Science; Data Science Program Director
I am a faculty member in the Math, Statistics, and Data Science Department at Montgomery College and the Data Science Program Director. I created the associate of science in data science degree and collaborated to create the business analytics degree. I also developed a number of courses for the college including Data Visualization and Communication, Biostatistics, and Applications in Linear Algebra. I work with data science faculty, administrators, and representatives from local organizations, industries, and government representatives to provide various opportunities and experiences for students both during and after completing the certificate or degree. I was awarded Outstanding Faculty for Excellence in Teaching (2022) and the NISOD Award for Excellence (2023). I currently co-chair the AMATYC Statistics and Data Science ANet, I co-host the annual DataFest for Community Colleges event through AMATYC, and I am a member of ADSA, ASA/AMATYC Joint committee, and the MAA CRAFTY committee.
